Cookie Policy

10 February 2026 · 10 February 2026

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that websites place on your device (computer, phone, or tablet) when you visit them. They are widely used to make websites work, to remember your preferences, and to help us understand how our services are used. In this policy, "cookies" includes similar technologies such as local storage, session storage, and tracking pixels, unless otherwise noted.

2. Who sets cookies on this website?

Cookies may be set by Dentour (first-party cookies) or by third-party services that we integrate into our website (third-party cookies). Third-party providers have their own privacy policies governing their cookies.

Examples of third-party services that may set cookies:

  • Cloudflare — security and performance (strictly necessary)
  • Supabase — authentication (strictly necessary)
  • Sentry — error monitoring for service reliability (strictly necessary)

3. Cookie categories

We classify cookies into four categories:

a) Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are essential for the website to function and cannot be switched off. They include cookies for user authentication and session management, security and fraud prevention, storing your cookie consent preferences, and infrastructure and load balancing (e.g., Cloudflare). These cookies do not collect personal data for marketing or analytics purposes. They are set based on your actions on the site, such as logging in or setting your privacy preferences.

b) Analytics Cookies

These cookies help us understand how visitors use our website — for example, which pages are visited most often and whether users encounter errors. Analytics data may include online identifiers (e.g., cookie IDs, device identifiers, IP-derived location). We use privacy-focused settings to minimize data collection and avoid collecting direct identifiers where possible, but this data is not fully anonymous. If you do not allow these cookies, we will not know when you have visited our site and will not be able to monitor its performance.

c) Marketing Cookies

These cookies may be set through our site by advertising partners. They may be used to build a profile of your interests and show you relevant advertisements on other sites. They do not directly store personal information but are based on uniquely identifying your browser and device. If you do not allow these cookies, you will experience less targeted advertising.

d) Functional (Preferences) Cookies

These cookies enable enhanced functionality and personalisation, such as live chat support. They may be set by us or by third-party providers whose services we have added to our pages. If you do not allow these cookies, some or all of these features may not function properly.

Some preference cookies (e.g., your selected language) are treated as strictly necessary when set by your explicit action, because they are required to deliver the service you requested. These cannot be disabled. Live chat and similar enhanced features are classified as functional and require your consent.

6. How to manage cookies in your browser

You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to view what cookies are stored and delete them individually, block third-party cookies, block cookies from specific sites, block all cookies, and delete all cookies when you close the browser.

Please note that blocking all cookies may impair the functionality of our website (e.g., you may not be able to log in).

Error Monitoring

Sentry is used for error monitoring with privacy-focused settings (no PII, no session replay, 0% performance tracing). It uses sessionStorage only for error replay metadata and does not set persistent cookies. Classified as strictly necessary for service reliability.

8. Fingerprinting

We do not use browser or device fingerprinting techniques to identify or track you without your consent. If we introduce any technology that accesses information from your device beyond strictly necessary cookies, we will obtain your consent first.

9. Data transfers

Some of our third-party cookie providers may process your data outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Where this occurs, we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, or adequacy decisions.

10. Updates to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. When we make significant changes, we will re-display the consent banner so you can review your choices. The "Last updated" date at the top of this policy indicates when it was last revised. We aim to limit cookie lifetimes to the minimum necessary for their purpose. For analytics cookies, we target a maximum retention of 13 months, in line with guidance from the French data protection authority (CNIL). Authentication and consent cookies follow the defaults of their respective providers but are reviewed periodically.
